Transcending Addiction

IMG_5774.jpg

From the moment we are born, we are bonding with things that we enjoy or depend upon, and resisting things that we dislike. As a new-born, between the life-giving nourishment and security of our mother’s breast, and the contrasting frustration when this is not available to us, we are already forming an attachment to something that gives us a sense of security, and resistance to something that makes us feel insecure. And so it goes as we move forward through life. The soul relates to the material realm through attachment, whether by excess or by lack. And when attachment moves beyond our control, it becomes an addiction and starts to control us. But always underpinning our lives is this one constant, conscious principle, there from birth, and simply re-shaping itself to accommodate each new experience, positive or negative, falling into and out of balance according to the minutiae of our nature and that of the things to which we become more or less attached.

“If not now, when?”

My personal relationship with addiction has played out primarily through nicotine. I was an addicted smoker, and I had a realisation about smoking, that came as an epiphany that transformed my state of consciousness. I discovered subsequently that I had an aptitude for communicating this successfully to others, so that they also overcame their nicotine addictions, easily. The core principles of this system, have informed my life immeasurably, and far more widely than simply through the prism of smoking. But nicotine addiction was the start of my journey.

Over the years, I have honed this system, and I now make it available to others in the form of my book ‘Zen and the Art of Giving Up Smoking and Vaping’, published by Footsteps Press. Available from all major outlets. I can help you to move confidently and irreversibly beyond the smoking/vaping paradigm.

What they Say

“This is probably the most valuable investment I have ever made in myself and to say ‘thank you’ doesn’t really seem to cover it... but Mr Holden, your vision and insight is awesome and I thank you from the bottom of my lungs for taking the time to share it with the world!”

Poppy Kinloch,

Extremely happy non-smoker

What they Say

“Once you have that certainty, the complaints of the addict mind are instantly recognisable and laughable. Cravings? Gone. There’s no such thing.”
